Prayer 2

~

I confess with faith and worship you,
O Indivisible Light,
unified Holy Trinity and one Godhead;
creator of light and dispeller of darkness,
dispel from my soul the darkness of sin and ignorance,
and enlighten my mind at this moment,
so that I may pray to you according to your will,
and receive from you the fulfillment of my requests.
Have mercy upon your creatures,
and on me, a manifold sinner.

I confess with faith and worship you,
O Indivisible Light, In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it (John 1,4-5). That was the true Light which gives light to every man coming into the world (John 1,9). The light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light (John 3,19).
Ι am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life (John 8,12). As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world (John 9,5). While you have the light, believe in the light, that you may become sons of light (John 12,36). I have come as a light into the world, that whoever believes in Me, should not abide in darkness (John 12,46).
The light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them (2 Corinthians 4,4). For it is the God who commanded light to shine out of darkness, who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ (2 Corinthians 4,6). Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights (James 1,17). God is light and in Him is no darkness at all (1 John 1,5).
The Lord is my light and my salvation (Psalm 27,1). O God, in Your light we see light (Psalm 36,9). O God, send out Your light and Your truth (Psalm 43,3), the light of Your countenance (Psalm 89,15) (Psalm 90,8).
The sun shall no longer be your light by day, nor for brightness shall the moon give light to you; But the Lord will be to you an everlasting light. Your sun shall no longer go down, nor shall your moon withdraw itself; For the Lord will be your everlasting light (Isaiah 60,19-20).
unified Holy Trinity and one Godhead. Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one (Deuteronomy 6,4). Have we not all one Father? Has not one God created us? (Malachi 2,10)
Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one (Mark 12,29). For there is one God, and there is no other but He (Mark 12,32). We have one Father – God (John 8,41). There is one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we for Him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, through whom are all things, and through whom we live (1 Corinthians 8,6). God is one (Galatians 3,20), one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all (Ephesians 4,6). For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus (1 Timothy 2,5).
creator of light and dispeller of darkness, indeed, the darkness shall not hide from You, But the night shines as the day; The darkness and the light are both alike to You (Psalm 139,12). Then I saw that wisdom excels folly, as light excels darkness (Ecclesiastes 2,13). He reveals deep and secret things; He knows what is in the darkness, And light dwells with Him (Daniel 2,22).
Therefore glorify the Lord in the dawning light (Isaiah 24,15). Thus says the Lord to His anointed, I form the light and create darkness, I make peace and create calamity; I, the Lord, do all these things (Isaiah 45,7).
dispel from my soul the darkness of sin and ignorance, When I fall, I will arise; When I sit in darkness, The Lord will be a light to me (Micah 7,8). He will bring me forth to the light; I will see His righteousness (Micah 7,9). The Lord comes, who will both bring to light the hidden things of darkness and reveal the counsels of the hearts (1 Corinthians 4,5).
and enlighten my mind at this moment, our God may enlighten our eyes (Ezra 9,8). O Lord my God; Enlighten my eyes (Psalm 13,3). The Lord my God will enlighten my darkness (Psalm 18,28). The commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes (Psalm 19,8).
so that I may pray to you according to your will. Now, therefore I pray, if I have found grace in Your sight, show me now Your way, that I may know You and that I may find grace in Your sight (Exodus 33,13). I pray, let the power of my Lord be great (Numbers 14,17). I pray, according to the greatness of Your mercy (Numbers 14,19). I pray, O God of Israel, let Your word come true, which You have spoken to Your servant David my father. (1 Kings 8,26).
and receive from you the fulfillment of my requests. I pray, O Lord, take away the iniquity of Your servant (2 Samuel 24,10). Yet regard the prayer of Your servant and his supplication, O Lord my God, and listen to the cry and the prayer which Your servant is praying before You today (1 Kings 18,28). You may hear the prayer which Your servant makes toward this place. And may You hear the supplication of Your servant and of Your people Israel, when they pray toward this place. Hear in heaven Your dwelling place; and when You hear, forgive. (1 Kings 18,29-30).
Have mercy upon your creatures,
and on me, a manifold sinner.
